Apple Cranberry Wine Cake

This glazed cake is as delicious as it is beautiful. Enjoy both the flavors of apple and cranberry from our Cranberry & Apple Wine.



  • 5 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 t baking soda
  • 1/2 t kosher salt
  • 1 T ground cinnamon
  • 2 c granulated sugar
  • 1 c vegetable shortening
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 c Cranberry & Apple Wine
  • 1 c Craisins


  • 2 c confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/4 c apple juice


  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and flour a bundt pan
  2. In medium bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon
  3. In large bowl, cream together sugar and shortening until light and fluffy
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time
  5. Alternately add the flour mixture and wine, beginning and ending with flour. 3 additions of flour and 2 of wine
  6. Fold in Craisins
  7. Pour the batter into prepared pan and bake for 1 hour 10 minutes
  8. Cool in pan about 15 minutes, before carefully loosening and inverting onto a serving platter
  9. Cool completely before preparing glaze
  10. Mix glaze ingredients and pour over top
