Strawberry Wine Dessert

Refreshing, sweet, and delightfully indulgent. This Strawberry Wine Dessert is a crowd pleaser.


  • 1-1/2 c sugar
  • 5 T cornstarch
  • 1 pkg (3oz) strawberry gelatin
  • 2 c Ackerman Strawberry Wine
  • 2 lbs fresh strawberries, hulled, divided
  • 1 pkg (8oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (14oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 carton (12oz) whipped topping
  • 1 prepared angel food cake (8-10oz), cut into 1-inch cubes


  1. For glaze, in a large saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and gelatin. Add wine and stir until smooth
  2. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until mixture begins to boil
  3. Cook and stir 1-2 minutes longer or until thickened
  4. Remove from heat; cool completely
  5. Cut half of the strawberries into quarters; fold in glaze
  6. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth
  7. Beat in milk until blended. Fold in whipped topping
  8. In a 4-qt clear glass bowl, layer half of the cake cubes, glaze and cream mixture
  9. Repeat layers
  10. Cut remaining strawberries in half and arrange over top
  11. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight
